EPiC brings together extraordinary long-lost footage from Elvis Presley’s legendary Las Vegas residency of the 1970s, weaving it seamlessly with rare 16mm material from Elvis on Tour and intimate 8mm home movies preserved in the Graceland archive. These fragments of performance and private life are enriched by newly rediscovered recordings of Elvis himself, offering rare moments of reflection as he tells “his side of the story.” Unearthed during Baz Luhrmann’s research for his Academy Award®-nominated 2022 film Elvis, the documentary presents a vivid, immersive portrait of an icon at the height of his fame, capturing both the spectacle of the stage and the vulnerability behind it.
